Arshia Tabrizi

Arshia is a venture and technology lawyer who graduated as a Computer Engineer, worked at IBM, and then, as his close friends like to remind him, turned to the “dark side”. He learned the ropes as a technology transactions lawyer at the Silicon Valley law firm of Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, but missed Toronto winters so he moved back to start Tabrizi Law Office PC, providing strategic and practical advice and mentorship to start-ups. Arshia has been a long-time advocate for start-ups, venture capital, innovation and entrepreneurship in Canada. His law school thesis was on University Spin-offs, he recently won an Arbor Award from the University of Toronto for his contributions to fostering entrepreneurship at his alma mater, and he lectures regularly on innovation and IP/business strategy at places like MaRS and Rotman.
