Remy is currently COO of Purpose Wireless, responsible for formalizing operational and financial processes, and for for sourcing initial debt and equity financing.
Mr. Kozak, is an entrepreneur and product/finance specialist with 20 years experience in the technology sector. Remy has developed business plans, set up operations, and assisted in fund-raising for a wide range of companies both locally and abroad. Prior to co-founding Purpose Wireless in 2008, Remy was CEO and VP Corporate Development of Power Air Corporation, a publicly traded developer of metal-based fuel cells located in California. Remy has strong connections to the tech sector in Vancouver and regularly acts as a jurist and mentor in the New Ventures BC Competition.
Much of Remy’s career has been spent in multi-lingual settings in Europe - primarily Belgium and Germany. Originally a software developer, Remy quickly progressed from leading teams and departments to divisions and companies in a wide range of environments. He has reported to boards and handled large customers, learning to adapt presentations and reports to the interests and desired level of detail of each audience.
Mr. Kozak was previously a partner at ARK executives, a European interim management firm, where he contributed to several businesses in interim roles including Business Unit Manager, COO and VP Finance and assisted in the build out of Europes first mobile business incubator (iWorld Group). Prior to ARK, Mr. Kozak worked for several years as a senior director with Global One Telecommunications, SA in Brussels where he built up and managed the Planning, Strategy and Finance departments for both the Global Accounts and Internet divisions.
In his spare time he produces films and continues to volunteer his services to sustainability and social change related causes.
