1 in 3 Households in America Own Four or More Televisions [INFOGRAPHIC]
A new Nielsen study has revealed that one in three US households own four or more televisions. In fact, more households in America own four televisions than own any other amount—28% own three, 33% own two, and just 18% own only one. Nielsen's data shows that 82% own DVD players and 53% own videogame consoles, while 47% have digital cable and 42% have DVR. 31% use satelite.
The report also reveals that more consumers own mobile phones than are online—there are 232 Americans with mobile phones but only 211 million have household internet access 192 million have a desktop or laptop on home, which leaves 19 million Americans owning a computer but not using the internet. The mobile web is quickly advancing, with 116 Americans going online from their smartphones and tablets.
The average American visits 94 different domains in a month and looks at 2,905 pages. Facebookers look at 830 pages on the social network per month. Four in five active internet users in the US visit social networks.
