2010 FamilySearch Developers Conference awards genealogy software

FamilySearch, the largest genealogy organization in the world, recently announced the recipients for the FamilySearch Software Awards, which were held in conjunction with the 2010 FamilySearch Developers Conference. The awards celebrate software advancements in the field of genealogy. 

The Vancouver-based Arcalife won “Best New Family History Website." Other award categories include "Best New Windows" product, "Best New Macintosh" product, "Best Geo-Mapping" feature, and "Best Research" feature. Two special awards, the Archibald Genealogy Award, and the FamilySearch Technology Award, were not handed out this year. For a complete list of winners, click here.

FamilySearch has been gathering, preserving, and sharing genealogical records for more than a century. In addition to their website, FamilySearch has over 4,500 family history centers in 70 countries, including the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah, where you can access their resources.
