2011 Venture Capital Deal of the Year Award goes to Radian6 investors

Canada’s Venture Capital & Private Equity Association announced today that Summerhill Venture Partners, Brightspark Ventures and BDC Venture Capital are the recipients of their 2011 ‘Deal of the Year Award’ for their joint investment in Radian6 Technologies.

The 2011 Award goes to the CVCA member with the most significant investment returns during the last twelve months ending June 30, 2011.

In April 2007 Summerhill led the initial $4.0 Million institutional round syndicate, which was followed by a secondary round of $5 Million in December 2008.

In May 2011 Salesforce.com acquired Radian6, and the institutional investors Summerhill, Brightspark and BDC received a combined $205 Million. The investment generated an internal rate of return (IRR) of 142% and a multiple of 22.8 times original investment.
