500px Among Initial Partners Using Adobe’s New Creative SDK

Adobe’s Creative SDK, which launched in private beta in June, is now open to the public.

Initial partners utilizing the SDK include t-shirt artist community Threadless, Flowboard, and Toronto’s own 500px, as well as Paper by 53 and Moleskine.

Creative SDK enables iOS developers to connect their apps and users through the Creative Cloud and leverage technology previously only available to Adobe applications.

500px’s integration with the Creative SDK means users can now edit photos on their mobile devices using features in Photoshop and Photoshop Lightroom and have that content be uploadd to the Creative Cloud for further enhancement using the Adobe suite of products.

“We are very excited about what this integration will do for the 500px community. We see this as another way for people everywhere to express their creativity, share their work and be rewarded for it,” said Evgeny Tchebotarev, 500px Chief Photography Officer and co-founder. “Adobe is an ideal partner to be sharing this journey with, and we look forward to expanding our relationship with them.”

The Creative SDK-equipped 500px app will be released “in the coming weeks,” according to the company, and compatible only with iOS 8.
