70% of Canadians Have Been Victims of Cybercrime

Symantec Canada has released this year’s global Norton Cybercrime Report and the numbers are scary. While Symantec's definiton of "cybercrime" is long it can be loosely defined as online attacks including malware, viruses, hacking, scams, and fraud & theft.

According to the report there were 8.3 million cybercrime victims in Canada last year with 70% of online adults experiencing cybercrime in their lifetime. Check out Symantec's Canada Fact Sheet including a breakdown of social and mobile cybercrime after the jump.
