87% of tablet owners user their device to browse or purchase holiday gifts, according to data from Zmags. The rich media merchandising and analytics platform revealed that tablet owners plan to spend over $300 on holiday gifts this year—through their tablet alone. In fact, 1 in 5 plan to spend over $500 through their tablet.
A quarter of tablet owners suggest the device is ideal for ecommerce, with easy browsing and high portability. Smartphones users were only lukewarm about "m-commerce," or mobile commerce, with just half as many expressing interesting in shopping on their mobile device.
