8th Annual New Ventures BC Competition

The 2008 New Ventures BC competition (NVBC) is now accepting applications from BC’s early-stage technology entrepreneurs. The competition is open to everyone in BC and entries will be accepted from individuals, teams, or businesses. For '08, they've revised and clarified their eligibility criteria - competitors may not have been incorporated for more than five years; may not have raised more than $500,000 from outside investors as of April 23, 2008, and must have a clear intent to build a viable, for-profit new business. In addition, previous NVBC competitors may now enter the competition up to three times - but only if they have not previously won a NVBC prize or have not twice been among the top 10 finalists. Complete rules are available here. NVBC's popular business education seminar and networking series begins April 2nd. The fee for all eight seminars is only $100, which also pays the competition entry fee for those interested in joining. Most definitely the best deal around for eight must-attend seminars for every start-up. The competition entry deadline is April 23rd. Techvibes Media Inc. is a Bronze sponsor of the 2008 New Ventures BC Competition.
