Best in Show awards were handed out last night after the Washington Technology Industry Association's Fast Pitch Forum and Seattle-area software startups AdReady, Swype, and TeachStreet were singled out among the 23 presenting companies.

  • AdReady is a technology platform that endeavours to make online display advertising accessible and as effective as search advertising.
  • Swype is a new method to enter text on screens which enables users to type 30+ words per minute on handheld devices with virtually no learning curve.
  • TeachStreet is creating a marketplace for lifelong learning, where teachers can find more students and manage their businesses, and where learners can discover the best teachers and classes in their neighborhoods.

Congratulations to Summer McGrady and the rest of the WTIA team for running an awesome event.
