Airborne Technology Ventures - parent company of Montreal's Airborne Mobileannounced the appointment of mobile industry entrepreneur Skuli Mogensen to its Board of Directors today. In conjunction with this appointment, Mr. Mogensen will invest $500K in Airborne as an add-on to the recent $2 Million invested by iNovia Capital. This additional infusion of capital will be used to advance mobile media projects.

Mogensen was the founder and CEO of OZ Communications - a mobile email and instant messaging provider that sold last year to Nokia. Mogensen has a history of identifying high-growth businesses and has been actively involved in promoting new and promising products in the technology and telecommunications industries for the past 15 years.

“We are thrilled to be working with Skuli. He has a great deal of experience, and a number of notable achievements, in the mobile industry and is a true telecom vanguard,” said Bornstein. “This additional financing will help us leverage innovative new projects, secure notable brand partnerships, sustain the company’s impressive growth and continue our legacy of launching inventive and exciting mobile content.”

Mogensen has been active of late - in December he invested an undisclosed amount with New York-headquartered and TSX-traded iPerceptions Inc. along with Telesystem Ltd.
