Amazon Hosts Event to Hire Up in Vancouver

Posted by Techvibes NewsDesk

Amazon continues to hire agressively in Vancouver and they're hosting their first summer networking event in hopes of meeting Vancouver's tech talent.

Included in Amazon's BC expansion are two new teams—Amazon Web Services - Relational Data Services and Amazon Silk—the web browser developed by Amazon for Kindle Fire.

This event is for all things tech in Vancouver. Let’s spend some time chatting with our colleagues and find out what’s trending in the industry now. Is HTML 5 still the hot new product? What does everyone think of Scala and what it brings to the table, is being Agile the way of the future or are there other things on the horizon? What’s the next step in terms of Cloud Computing? There are so many topics to choose from. Come out and meet everyone, whether you’re a seasoned vet sharing your thoughts on how things have evolved in Vancouver or just getting started and looking for some direction.

To jumpstart the hiring process in Vancouver Amazon will be hosting a networking night on Wednesday, August 15 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at Steamworks' Uber Lounge in Gastown. Register to attend online.
