AndroidTO returns on October 26th and Techvibes has got half price tickets

AndroidTO is back for the 2nd year in a row on October 26th and the timing couldn't be better.

New research has revealed that 40% of Canadian company decision makers across all company sizes are considering Android smartphones for business use. In a space once completely dominated by BlackBerry devices, tides are turning in favour of Google's platform, which has seen market share skyrocket around the world as more hardware manufacturers adopt the software and mass market Android-powered devices.

The year's AndroidTO event has been tagged Desserts + Development and promises to bring together Android enthusiasts, developers, students, and people interested in technology.

AndroidTO will be split into two tracks - one for enthusiasts and one for developers. The Enthusiast Track will focus on spreading awareness and sharing Android-related innovations with students, consumers and marketers. The Developers Track will tackle everything technology and focus on developing using Android.

Organizers expected 100 attendees for last year's AndroidTO and over 300 showed up. This year they're anticipating 500 in person and over 3,000 online.

AndroidTO runs all day on October 26th from 9am to 5pm at 99 Sudbury.

If you're interested in attending, use discount code 'techvibes' when registering online to save 50% off the $149 ticket price.
