Apple is Planning to Take Over Robson Street in Vancouver
Apple is plotting a new retail store on Robson Street in downtown Vancouver between Burrad Street and Thurlow Street, according to an inside source cited in Business in Vancouver.
Apple currently has stores in Pacific Centre, Oakridge Mall, Richmond Centre, and Metropolis at Metrotown. This would be the first Apple store in B.C. that is not a part of a mall. The company's existing outlets are regularly stuffed to the brim with eager customers.
The company, maker of the wildly popular iPad and iPhone, has over 20 locations in Canada. If this Robson store materializes, B.C. will have 22% of Apple's Canadian outlets, despite having only 13% of the population.
