Apple Ranks Numero Uno in Fortune's World Most Admired

Fortune Magazine has released its World's Most Admired Companies top 50 list and Apple has taken the number one ranking. Fortune says despite a tough year for the computer sector and Steve Jobs, the company managed to ship 22.7 million iPods, 2.5 million Macs and 4.4 million iPhones.  Rounding out the top five list are Berkshire Hathaway, Toyota Motor, Google and Johnson and Johnson.  On that note, also check out some of the best tech companies to work for in their top 100 Best Companies To Work For list.

What makes it so great?
Tech powerhouse marked tenth birthday in 2008. While the company still attracts 777,000 applicants a year, hiring has slowed, and Google recently cut frills like afternoon tea and an annual ski trip.
