Multiple reports have surfaced recently, including one this morning, that suggest tomorrow's invitation-only Apple event will unveil two new iPad models.
The most recent report, coming from The Wall Street Journal, states that Apple "is now readying a revamped iPad Mini with a high-resolution 'retina' display [and] also working on a thinner, lighter version of its standard 9.7-inch iPad, using a thin film instead of the glass found in existing models.
The WSJ says its information about the glass is based on information from the company’s parts suppliers. The thinner iPad rumour and the retina Mini rumour are well-support in the rumoursphere and were echoed recently by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and AllThingsD, both which have solid track records of accurate Apple predictions.
Other, more speculative rumours include an even larger iPad than the original
Apple's event will be held tomorrow at 10am at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
