New York City's Arkadium, developer of the largest library of casual games in the world, this week hired David Elton as general manager of the company's Toronto game development studio.
Elton has worked in the gaming industry for 18 years, serving as creative director at EA Canada in the early 2000s and later serving in a business development role at Microsoft Game Studios.
“We were looking for a visionary to lead a passionate team of people while also inspiring creativity and encouraging innovation. David has amazing experience that spans across this entire industry, and he brings a wealth of knowledge of game development process from various platform and organizations,” says Kenny Rosenblatt, CEO of Arkadium.
“Arkadium has been in the games business for 12 years and the company has created a culture of innovation that inspired me,” noted Elton. “The Toronto area has become an impressive hub for video game development over the last several years and I am excited to help position Arkadium as one of leading studios in this area.”
Arkadium, founded in 2001, develops games for the web, mobile devices, Facebook, and Windows.
