Awkward: Apple's Siri Just Rendered This Woman's Job Obsolete

Siri was undoubtedly the standout feature of Apple's latest iPhone revamp. An otherwise modest product update became decidedly significant almost entirely as a result of the quirky voice-recognition assistant Siri in iOS 5.

While the average consumer finds Siri to be a wonderfully convenient complement to their daily tasks, some may find Siri a little too convenient. Machines have replaced humans in many assembly lines over the years, but what receptionist would ever think that a smartphone could steal her job?

Carol, bitter secretary to the infamous pointy-haired boss, gets a disturbing reality check when Siri (or so one can safely assume at this point) reacts to the boss's request to schedule a meeting, instantly completing the task and leaving Carol looking awfully useless. Awkward, indeed.
