If you've spent any time on the Techvibes.com over the past week you've probably noticed the snarky brown BarCamp Vancouver banner ads on the site. Well, Techvibes is proud to announce that we're 'supporting' BarCamp Vancouver 2007 by promoting the event this summer. Not that they need any help, 120 spots are spoken for and they're already 16 deep on a waiting list.
This year's unconference takes place on August 17th and 18th at WorkSpace in Gastown kicking off with a BBQ & sleepover on Friday followed by the day long session on Saturday.
BarCamp is an ad-hoc un-conference born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from attendees. All attendees are encouraged to give a demo, a session, a presentation, or help with one. All attendees are expected to be participants. All presentations are scheduled the day they happen. Prepare in advance, but come early to get a slot on the wall.
