Battledecks at DemoCampVancouver04

battledecks.jpgBattledecks, otherwise known as "full contact Powerpoint," once again stole the show at DemoCampVancouver04 today at Workspace in Gastown. Each contestant has to improvise a presentation based on a previously created PowerPoint that they haven't seen. Comedic results are expected but not compulsory.

Linda Bustos did a sterling job of dealing with a complicated jumble of random flowcharts and banana-related imagery crafted by Tod Maffin, and Jordan Behan made a valiant attempt to change meaningless aphorisms and pictures and abstract art into something intelligible, but in the end had to concede victory to the Bustos Battledecks Juggernaut.

Indeed, I was outmatched. But as they say...there's no shame in losing to the best.

But don't think I won't be challenging her to a rematch, once I've had a few more months of training.

I'm loading up on potassium even as we speak.

While you're carbo loading, I'm out moving some product. Contrary to popular belief, these bananas don't sell themselves, you know. Uh, I mean... these bananas sell like hotcakes, yeah... sign up at the back. (Did I mention they're local?)
