BCTIA launches PODIUM e-book for 2010 visitors

Today, the BCTIA launched PODIUM - the first piece of their comprehensive program designed to connect guests and media of the 2010 Olympic Games with potential business partners and media stories while visiting BC. The centrepiece of the program is the PODIUM digital guide, a PDF illustrating the talent of the BC-based businesses that paid to be part of the program.

You may recall that in September the BCTIA announced that their 2010 Business Outreach Program would include a focused B2B matching program supported by a 2010 Pitch Book. The PODIUM digital guide is that Pitch Book and the listings were available  to BCTIA members for $150 per page and to non-members for $300 per page.

The 148 page PODIUM digital guide can be downloaded at www.bctia.org/podium.

Of course it's too early to judge whether this PODIUM initative will be successful in connecting those visiting Vancouver with BC's technology leaders. But in the interest of conversation, now that you've had a chance to look at the e-book, do you wish your company had paid for a listing?
