BCTIA news: TechBrew on Wednesday, deadline for TIA nominations Friday
The BCTIA is going to be a busy crew this week with a rapidly growing list of guests and companies attending TechBrew on Wednesday, and nominations still coming in for this year’s BCTIA Technology Impact Awards (TIA).

Over 200 guests and 13 companies are attending this fun mixer at the Stanley Park Pavilion. Come on out to see what Vancouver’s tech entrepreneurs are up to, make new contacts and network with influencers in Vancouver… oh, and don’t forget about all the beer! Your first drink is on the BCTIA.

Nominate a company, technology or individual for a BCTIA Technology Impact Award
The deadline to submit a nomination for a TIA is Friday, March 11th. As we’ve previously reported, there are nine categories that are accepting nominations for companies, innovations and individuals who are making a difference in the B.C. tech community.
This will be year 17 for the TIAs, and year 17 of providing recognition and valuable exposure for this important segment of B.C.’s economy. Companies honoured previously have used this exposure to achieve greater heights; after all, Sierra Wireless wasn’t always such a big player — back in 1997, they were merely Emerging Company of the Year.
