Before Facebook, there was Facemash. Now, the storied domain is for sale on Flippa
Set up by Mark Zuckerberg in his Harvard University dorm in 2003, Facemash.com has been a ghost-domain since its short-lived on-campus popularity seven years ago. The domain's short but eventful life was recently dramatized by Hollywood flick The Social Network, which has increased traffic to the domain name by 5,000%, making this a wise time for domain owner Rahul Jahn to list it for auction. He bought the site in 2007 after Mark Zuckerberg let it expire.
From the auction page:

He cites Wikipedia and includes a WHOIS archive page, offering up Zucky's Harvard email.
