I've been financing VC-backed companies for 9 years and worked with many great lawyers who are not on this list (too many to mention). It's a shame the list does not include anyone here in Quebec, especially given the level of IT and tech activity here.
I've worked with Tony Morris at MacLeod Dixon in Calgary and would recommend him and his firm to anyone in tech.
I agree with Mark. There are many good lawyers in Quebec and it's unfortunate they are not mentioned.
The importance of good lawyers for startups is a critical resource. I've seen many entrepreneurs chose their legal representation badly and it often costs them more then they know.
