The Biggest Web Development Companies in BC are highlighted in a BIVlist in this week's Business in Vancouver newspaper. The list includes the Dev shops that everyone has heard of like Blast Radius and Habanero but also includes a bunch that are under the radar. Vision Critical's hyper-growth is the most shocking - they've almost doubled their team, adding 60 staff in the past year.

  1. Blast Radius, Vancouver - 145 employees
  2. Vision Critical, Vancover - 125
  3. Etraffic Solutions, Victoria - 62
  4. Bridges Transitions, Kelowna - 55
  5. Habanero Consulting, Vancouver - 50
  6. Neverblue Media, Victoria - 50
  7. Elastic Path, Vancouver - 50
  8. Marqui, Vancouver - 44
  9. Graphically Speaking, Vancouver - 36
  10. CityXpress, Vancouver - 25
  11. Falcon Software, Victoria - 25
  12. Invoke Media, Vancouver - 22
  13. Donat Group, Vancouver - 17
  14. Domain7 Solutions, Abbotsford - 17
  15. Tugboat Media, Vancouver - 14
  16. Burnkit, Vancouver - 14
  17. In Vancouver Web Services, Surrey - 13
  18. ThinkProfits.com, Vancouver - 13
  19. Signals Design Group, Vancouver - 12
  20. IdeaLever Solutions, Vancouver - 11
  21. Devlin eBusiness, Vancouver - 11
  22. Exware Solutions, Vancouver - 9
  23. FileHold Systems, Vancouver - 9
  24. 1st on the List, Abbotsford - 8
  25. Bryght, Vancouver - 7

Of course, lists like these aren't always accurate - so feel free to comment if a correction is needed. And if your Web Dev shop was missed - no matter how small, give it a shout out.

Side note - the page opposite this list is a full-page advertisement for Graphically Speaking and the headline includes "with Vancouver's 2nd largest local web development team". Unfortunately BIV has them ranked #9, #6 if you only include Vancouver shops.
