Bitmaker Labs Launches Scholarship for Women Who Want to Learn How to Code

Toronto-based coding school Bitmaker Labs has launched a scholarship for women who want to learn to code.

Dubbed the Grace Hopper Scholarship for Women in Computing, it will provide $500 off for women participating in one of Bitmaker's upcoming cohorts.

Grace Hopper was an American pioneer in computer scientist, playing a large role in computer programming. She's often remembered by this quote, which was ahead of its time: “To me programming is more than an important practical art; it is also a gigantic undertaking in the foundations of knowledge."
