The BlackBerry Partners Fund announced today that it has appointed Marc Faucher and Matt Golden to its investment team. The BlackBerry Partners Fund is a $150 million venture capital fund formed to focus on applications and services for the BlackBerry platform. The Fund considers all stages of development and is co-managed by JLA Ventures and RBC Venture Partners.
Faucher will leverage the experience gained in his career through positions at Summerhill Venture Partners (formerly BCE Capital), Bell Mobility, McKenna Group, and Ericsson Communications to provide the BlackBerry Partners Fund with extensive knowledge in both the communications domain and venture investing.
Golden offers the BlackBerry Partners Fund significant wireless operational expertise having been a founding member of Tira Wireless. Prior to Tira, Matt was involved with early stage venture capital at Brightspark Ventures LP following his law career at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP.
