Research in Motion has sold 150,000 units of its new BlackBerry 6 OS-powered Torch 9800.  When you compare it to Apple's iPhone 4 launch this past summer it falls short.  More than 1.5 million units short.

Launched amidst a duality of uncertainty and fanfare it seems that the Torch will have to battle fans and skeptics to be the "iPhone killer" that many thought it would be.

MobileBurn.com suggests that sales of the Torch 9800 are expected to increase as corporate clients upgrade.
