October is Small Business Month which means that its time for the SOHO|SME Business Conference & Expo. The annual conference stopped in Toronto last week and visits Vancouver for the 11th time on October 30th.

Over the years, technology has become a bigger and bigger focus at the SOHO event and this year is no exception. The opening breakfast program includes presentations by both Martin Byrne of Yahoo! Search Marketing and Mike Agerbo of GetConnectedTV. Alexa Clark of One Degree attended the Toronto event and reports that the Yahoo! session was fact-filled and focused on opportunities for Canadians to market better online - lots of info on Canadian online usage stats and SEO tips. Mike Agerbo will be covering Business in the Digital Age and always has some great gadgets and online tools to suggest to small businesses

If you're interesting in Mobile Marketing, be sure to check out Patrick Payne of Quick Mobile's session titled Mobile Marketing 101 - it promises to shed some light on how small businesses can market to their customer's mobile devices.

SOHO is offering Techvibes visitors a FREE tradeshow pass when they register online. If you can't make it, Techvibes Blog co-contributor Warren Frey will be blogging from the event, so check back here for highlights on Tuesday.
