BVF08: Standout Jobs employs Business Model

Posted by Rob Lewis on Thu, October 2, 2008 11:13 AM · Filed under Montréal , Funding & Exits · Comments

At Banff Venture Forum, Ben Yoskovitz of Montreal's Standout Jobs is presenting their recruiting software tools that help companies market and promote themselves. Standout Jobs helps companies demonstrate their culture, brand, and team using social media and multimedia tools such as video.

Techvibes covered Standout's launch at DEMO in January as well as their more recent funding from iNovia Capital.

To date Standout Jobs has been a free service (200 beta customers) and they'll be implementing their business model in a couple weeks with services starting at $249 per month. Standout Jobs is pushing their channel partner strategy hard and currently have five recruitment ad agencies signed to sell their platform and are in active discussions with 15-20 other partners. Yoskovitz is keen on this strategy and feels the lock-in factor with partners will keep competitors at bay. Hot target markets for Standout Jobs are healthcare, hospitiality, and education.
