Call for Nominations: 10th Annual ITAC IT Hero Awards

The Information Technology Association of Canada is has launched the Call for Nominations for its 10th Annual ITAC IT Hero Awards. These awards recognize the creative application of information technology in improving the lives of Canadians. They are seeking nominations for both the Corporate and Community IT Hero Award. More information is available on their website.

Criteria includes that the "technology application significantly improves the lives of Canadians and readily demonstrates social and economic benefit," and that its use "addresses an important problem or challenge."

The judging panel is as follows:

Winners will be recognized as "innovators and leaders" and will be presented with a prestigious award trophy at the Chair’s dinner as part of ITAC’s AGM taking place June 22nd, 2010 in Toronto. Winners will also benefit from widespread coverage via various forms of marketing and communication including national media, ITAC newsletter and website and advertising.
