Call your friends from Facebook: social network launches video calling on the web

Facebook last week said they'd be launching "something awesome" today. Most expected an official iPad app.

What they got is arguably a loot cooler.

Mark Zuckerberg and his globally famous social network have introduced video calling integrated with Facebook's chat and messaging functions. Thankfully, the company is using genuine Skype technology, so it shouldn't turn out to be some horrible quality, always-breaks feature.

Facebook also added other features such as group chats (finally!). The company also noted it has cracked the 750,000,000-user mark. That legendary billion-user milestone draws ever nearer.
