Canada Post Unveils E-commerce Innovation Awards Finalists

An estimated $8 billion worth of physical goods is ordered online in Canada each year for residential deliveries and that figure is forecast to grow to more than $15 billion by 2016.

Total expenditures on Canadian e-commerce business-to-consumer shipping services alone were more than $600 million in 2011.

Last month Canada Post announced 14 finalists in their E-commerce Innovation Awards that are competing for a share of a prize package totaling $1 million in shipping and direct marketing services, and marketing exposure on Canada Post’s website, buildings and trucks.

The winners will be chosen by an expert panel of judges and announced at a gala event on October 16th at the Fairmont Royal York hotel in Toronto. The finalists are:
