Canada's Smartest IT Winners to be unveiled at Capitol Event Theatre Thursday night

The winners of Canada's Smartest IT will be announced Thursday night, run by Info-Tech Research Group at a gala which is being sponsored by IBM, Samsung, The Globe and Mail, Avaya, and Compugen. 

The finalists this year are Tool Wall, Teachers Credit Union, Sannich Schools, Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre, Lipton Chartered Accountants, Pembina Trails School Division, Atum Corporation, University of Regina and Empower who are all up for a chance to win either the Smartest IT, Greenest IT or Wow awards. 

You can still attend at the Capitol Event Theatre in Toronto for free on Thursday night. Doors open at 6 pm sharp, and yes, I'll be in attendance. 

The 2010 Smartest IT award winner was Blue Mountain Resort, while Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board placed second. Earth Rangers won the Greenest IT award. Lastly, the Hospital for Sick Children were the Wow story winners in 2010- since then, their electronic health records model has been copied by hospitals all over North America.
