Canada's Top 100 Startups according to Alexa.com
Many of you have noticed that the August 2011 editions of our Startup Indexes saw some serious shakeups. Most noticeably Vancouver's HootSuite jumped 24 spots to claim the #1 spot.
The changes are a result of dropping Compete.com rankings when calculating our Techvibes Traffic Rank and relying entirely on Alexa.com's Global rankings. And thanks to everyone that has been hounding us to remove Compete.com's inconsistent data from our complicated algorithm.
In addition to this big update, starting next month we'll be truncating our comprehensive Canadian index to include only the Top 100 startups rather than every startup we're tracking across Canada.
Don't worry if your company is not in the Canadian Top 100 as it will still appear on your local index whether your location be Vancouver, Victoria, Okanagan, Calgary, Edmonton, Waterloo, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, or Atlantic Canada.
