Canadian App makers continue assault on Top Grossing list

A couple weeks ago we covered Vancouver social gaming startup A Thinking Ape and their successful Kingdoms of War app.

Kingdoms of War has been consistently in the Top 10 Grossing iPhone Apps in the US and is mentioned along with games like Angry Birds and Smurf Village.

It turns out they're not the only Canadian game developer cracking Apple's Top 10 Grossing iPhone Apps list.

Calgary's Robots and Pencils is responsible for a new app called MineCraft World Explorer which has jumped to the #5 spot on the Top Grossing list within four days of launch.

Robots and Pencils co-founder MJ Sikorsky has been doing his part to keep Calgary up to speed on iPhone and iPad app development. Sikorsky is the organizer of iPhoneDev School in Calgary and class will begin again on February 26/27th at the University of Calgary.

If you have a Canadian App Store success story that you'd like Techvibes to cover, be sure to get in touch.

Robots and Pencils was founded by Michael and Camille Sikorsky.... more
