Canadian Financing Forum adds First Look Room

by Rob Lewis | Business

The Canadian Financing Forum is stepping it up this year and has added a couple new enhancements to make this year's event better than ever. In addition to partnering with Bootup Labs to host Demo Days, they've added Matchmaking Sessions and a First Look Room.

Matchmaking Sessions

The 26 presenting companies will also have an opportunity for ‘one on one’ meetings with investors or ‘Micro-panel’ sessions where they meet with a select investor group during the Financing Forum.

Both companies and investors will indicate who they would like to meet. The Financing Forum Selection committee will assign companies and investors for three 15-20 minute assigned matchmaking sessions. The matchmaking will be in the afternoon, after the full 15 minute presentations and the luncheon.

First Look Room

The Canadian Financing Forum will bring back its ‘First Look Room’. Six early stage companies will have the opportunity to make short seven (7) minute presentations. The First Look Room will provide early exposure for companies that wish to raise significant institutional capital during their full lifecycle. The First look room has a reduced presentation fee of $200 and is sponsored by Yaletown Venture Partners and Chrysalix Energy.

The Canadian Financing Forum is on January 28th at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver. Register online.
