In September at the Banff Venture Forum, event organizer and not-for-profit association InfoTech announced that it had acquired the Canadian Financing Forum. Now that the transition to the new organization is complete, it's time to get excited about next year's event which is less than two months away.

Yesterday the Canadian Financing Forum announced that Steve Munford will be the keynote at their February event in Vancouver. Munford is the Chief Executive Officer of Sophos Limited and will be presenting The Journey from Start-up to Mega Exit.

Steve was the President of Vancouver based ActiveState, a global leader in email security software, prior to its acquisition by UK-based anti-virus software firm Sophos in 2003. As COO, then President, of Sophos for North America, Steve was integral to leading Sophos to its May, 2010 sale of a majority stake to private equity in a deal valuing the business at over half a billion pounds.

The Canadian Financing Forum is accepting applications until January 3rd for presenting companies. If you're interested in attending as a general delegate, you can register online now.
