Canadian Financing Forum tomorrow in Vancouver

Vancouver is hosting the 12th annual Canadian Financing Forum tomorrow at the Hyatt Regency. The Financing Forum attracts top tier Canadian and International venture capitalists and gives them the opportunity to meet with promising growth companies in Canada. Each of the carefully selected entrepreneurs will have 15 minutes to pitch their company and product to the forum attendees.

Among the 30 companies set to present are:

• Avigilon Corporation - Avigilon is the world's leading supplier of high definition video surveillance systems
• Lignol Energy Corporation - Lignol is undertaking to construct biorefineries for the production of fuel-grade ethanol and biochemicals from Canadian forests and biomass feedstocks.
• Mobidia - Mobidia develops and markets network and handset software targeted to the evolving needs of today's wireless service providers.
• Sutus - Sutus sells a telephone and data networking appliance that combines a VoIP phone system with a wireless switch, router, firewall, email server, web server, and file server in one affordable, easy to install and manage device.

Helmut Pastrick, Chief Economist for Central 1 Credit Union will be the luncheon keynote speaker and the closing awards will feature Ida Chong, Minister of Technology - Trade and Economic Development. Look out for wrap-up coverage of the forum here tomorrow.
