Canadian iPhone Apps of the Week

Every week Techvibes receives press releases from developers, companies and associations announcing that they have launched a new iPhone App. While some apps are completely commercial in nature, there are some great ones that just don't get the attention they deserve.

Every Friday Techvibes highlight new iPhone Apps that we've heard about. This week we've got three apps - one to replace a standard iPhone feature, one to help you track down the best deals, and one to help you schedule your meetings on the go.

• Simplenote from Vancouver's Cloud Factory - Simplenote is a free replacement for the Notes app on your iPhone or iPod touch. It has a great interface, awesome web syncing, and it works with a growing number of desktop apps.

• Gazaro Deals from Ottawa's Gazaro - Gazaro tracks prices on electronics products in near real-time from online and brick & mortar retailers using a patent-pending artificial intelligence system to identify the best buying opportunities. The Gazaro iPhone app lists recently uncovered deals, product price trends, and provides real-time alerts on electronics products.

• Tungle for iPhone by Montreal's Tungle - Tungle for the iPhone allows users to create, send and receive meeting invitations and share calendars wherever they go, with valuable functionality, such as auto-suggest scheduling and at-a-glance availability. Later this quarter, Tungle will also offer a version for Research in Motion’s Blackberry phones.
