At Techvibes we receive press releases from developers, companies and associations announcing that they have launched a new iPhone App on a daily basis. While some apps are completely commercial in nature, there are some great ones that just don't get the attention they deserve.

Every Friday Techvibes highlights new iPhone Apps that we've heard about. This week we've got a couple officially sanctioned iPhone Apps designed to make following the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver a little easier.

2010Guide - The Official Mobile Spectator Guide - Presented by Bell, the is the OFFICIAL Mobile Spectator Guide of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. This free app is a location-aware schedule detailing more than 2,000 sport and cultural events taking place over 17 days between February 12 and 28, 2010.

CTV's Olympics iPhone App - The app brings everything you need to know about the games as they happen. News is supplied via Canada’s official broadcasters ( CTV, TSN, Rogers, Sportsnet, RDS, etc.). Access TV schedules so you know when to watch, pull up medal tallies and event results, tune into live play-by-play feeds, and sit in on live blogs at some of the bigger events.

If you have an iPhone App built in Canada or built for Canadians, fire us a note and we'll be sure to profile it in an upcoming Canadian iPhone Apps of the Week post.
