Canadian Wireless Trade Show is Free and Takes Place in Toronto Thursday and Friday
If you currently work in the wireless and mobile industry, there's a can't miss event called The Canadian Wireless Trade Show this Thursday and Friday at the Toronto Congress Centre.
The trade show is a first of its kind event, essentially a B2B wireless trade show with a small amount of B2C that is aiming to be informative, innovative and interactive.
The trade show, which already expects thousands of people to attend, will have over 100 exhibitors in the North American wireless industry with many corporate seminars that will cover mobile topics such as handheld devices, m-commerce, infastructure, broadband, the changing face of mobile marketing, research results, and a mobile app competition sponsored by Bower Labs, to name a few.
You can register to get your tickets here.
In other free event news, DX3 Canada, the first major trade show for digital marketing to take place next January 25th and 26th have announced the support from key players such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Casale Media, and IAB Canada.
The president of Hut2Hut Events which is organizaing the conference, Duncan Payne says: "We are delighted with the positive response from Canada's top technology companies, most of whom are not only exhibiting, but also taking an active role in helping to shape the content of the event".
To give you an idea of just how impressive this event could be, I further quote the press release:
"Dx3 Canada maintains its focus on delivering cutting edge and relevant exhibitors and topics through an Advisory Board including Arthur Fullerton, Crispin Porter + Bogusky Canada; Brent Bernie, comScore Media Metrix Canada comScore, Inc; Dave Fleet, Edelman; David Robinson, Rogers Communications; Dino Demopolous, MacLaren McCann; Glenn Hollis, Tim Hortons; Jason Greenspan, Holt Renfrew; Jennifer Holgate, Starcom MediaVest Group; John Florinis, Moneris Solutions; Julia Casale, Casale Media; Matt Hassell, OgilvyOne; Mitch Joel, Twist Image; Neil Wolff, Ryerson University; Stewart Priddle, Modelo Molson Imports; Steve Irvine, Facebook Canada; Tanbir Grover, Hudson's Bay Company".
That's some advisory board, and goes to show that events don't always have to cost hundreds of dollars, for HubSpot recently released a report saying that less than 10% of companies always charge for events.
