Microsoft Canada has announced the Canadian winners and finalists of the Microsoft Partner of the Year Awards 2013.

The annual awards honour Microsoft technology partners for delivering innovative solutions during the past year that directly address customer challenges.

This year, there were 44 awards that celebrated each core partner competency, including cloud technology, Windows 8, and Microsoft Office and SharePoint applications, as well as entrepreneurial spirit, citizenship and sales excellence. There were 3,000 entries from 100 countries.

"Canadian partners showed their mettle in this year’s results, with the following four organizations taking home top prizes in the global competition," Microsoft noted:

  • Systemgroup – Country Partner of the Year
  • Dapasoft – Application Integration
  • Sherweb – Hosting
  • Navantis (Mark AuCoin) – Pre-Sales Specialist

Canadian finalists included Navantis (Customer Relationship Management), Systemgroup (Humanitarian Response Citizenship), and Itergy (Identity and Access). Their performance on the world stage reflects the strength of Microsoft’s Canadian partner ecosystem.

Other partners with Canadian offices were recognized for their solutions implemented in the US: NetApp (Winner, Server Platform), NetApp (Finalist, Pre-Sales Specialist), NetApp (Finalist, Public Sector: Government), and Infusion (Finalist, Application Development).

“I’m so proud to see our Canadian partners performing so strongly on a global stage as part of Microsoft’s 2013 Partner of the Year Awards,” says Greg Larnder, National Channel Sales Director, Microsoft Canada. “These results reinforce just how excellent technology partners are at responding to the very unique needs of our Canadian marketplace. Further, these winners showcase true collaboration with Microsoft, building a mutual path to future successes.”

Award winners and finalists will be recognized at the 2013 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference July 7 to 11 in Houston.
