Canwest print and digital properties aptly rebranded Postmedia

Once the $1.1 Billion CDN sale of the former Canwest Newspaper Group's assets is finalized, Canada's newest media conglomerate will be named Postmedia Network.

Postmedia will include major dailies like the National Post and other large market papers, along with dozens of community papers and digital media properties including online assets such as canada.com, driving.ca, working.com, Dose.ca and FPinfomart.ca. along with websites for individual newspapers.

The company will be headed by CEO Paul Godfrey, head of a group of Canwest creditors and expectant successful bidders. Once the deal closes, the assets will be transferred to the new company, which is currently gearing up to launch its branded media presence.
