Career Advice Platform Wisewords Launches to Bridge Gap from School to Work

Wisewords has announced the launch of their online platform for career advice.

The Canadian company's platform allows students and recent grads to find and schedule one-on-one calls with industry experts for personalized career advice.

By 2020, millennials will be 50% of the employees worldwide, according to the Toronto-based startup. 76% of US students end up changing their major at least once, averaging three times. Good grades "are no longer enough to get a great job," Wisewords says. The company aims to help millennials navigate the increasingly competitive workforce through insider info and tailored career advice.

"It’s ridiculous how under-prepared students are for the workforce after spending $130,000 on an education," says the startup. "Universities aren’t doing a good enough job of bridging the gap from school to work—so we are."
