Carrie & Danielle get Social Online

Posted by Rob Lewis on Tue, May 27, 2008 10:34 AM · Filed under Vancouver , Funding & Exits, Social Media · Comments

Local style mavens Carrie & Danielle launched their new website today and it looks like they’re on to something. Their first Daily Q&A (C&D pose a question, answer it, and open it up to everyone) on the new platform is collecting comments at a rapid pace from their loyal following. Techvibes has been following Carrie & Danielle for the past couple months for a couple reasons - Techvibes Directors Geoff Hampson and Boris Wertz recently participated in an Angel Round and Vancouver tech-entrepreneur Dan Gibbons is at the helm. Gibbons’ recent personal blog post debating Drupal vs. WordPress attracted a fair same of comments online as well – WP Boss Matt Mullenweg even entered the fray. From the looks of the new C&D site, WordPress won out. While many in the Drupal community couldn’t understand Gibbons’ pain with Drupal, he made the decision to get the new Carrie & Danielle site online asap so that they could get to the business of building their community. So far, so good.
