CentriLogic Makes Third Acquisition in 18 Months to Expand Cloud Footprint

CentriLogic has acquired Adveniat Corporation, a US Virgin Islands data center operator and hosting services provider.

For the Toronto-based CentriLogic, a provider of cloud and advanced IT outsourcing solutions, its the company’s third acquisition in 18 months.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but a source suggests the value of the transaction rests in the single-digit millions.

Through the acquisition of Adveniat, the Canadian company now has nine data centers in seven markets across North America, the United Kingdom, Asia—and, of course, the Virgin Islands.

“With a state-of-the-art data center and fiber connectivity in the USVI, we can now directly support customers who are looking for both reliable managed hosting solutions and significant income tax savings,” says Robert Offley, CEO of CentriLogic.

The USVI is an increasingly attractive hosting destination for e-commerce companies because it offers up to a 90 percent reduction in income tax liability on qualifying revenues harmonized to US Treasury Department regulations. The area is also a critical telecommunications hub connecting South America, Central America, and the Caribbean to North America and Europe, CentriLogic points out.

“This is a great opportunity for our current and prospective customers to work with a world-class organization to support their growing demands,” said Corey Blanton, COO of Adveniat Corporation.

CentriLogic’s acquisition of Adveniat Corporation is also strategic to its global expansion program and provides the company the ability to better serve customers throughout the Caribbean and Southern Hemisphere.
