Calgary-headquarterd Chaordix announced yesterday the acquisition of Colorado-based crowdsourcing technology provider Napkin Labs.
Chaordix provides an enterprise marketing technology platform and applications – combining crowdsourcing processes with social sciences practices – for predictive brand and product innovation communities.
“Many of the brands we work with are looking to expand and deepen their engagement with the fan bases they’ve cultivated in social channels like Facebook,” said Shelley Kuipers, Chaordix Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “That’s why we’re so excited about the Napkin Labs technology. Founded in 2009, Napkin Labs’ suite of clients includes brands like Nike, Microsoft, Sony, Domino’s Pizza, The North Face and Whole Foods Market. Over its five year lifespan, the company has driven innovative changes in the way organizations access their most valuable customers, particularly with the 2011 launch of OpenLab, a robust online collaboration and ideation software solution.

The Napkin Labs acquisition is the latest in an increasingly long line of Chaordix expansions over the last twelve months, and follows on the heels of four C-level appointments and the opening of the company’s London, UK office.
