TimePlay Media develops interactive cinema games and content for movie theatres. By outfitting theatres with their Cinelynx System, audiences use handheld game controllers to interact with content on the big screen. The platform supports a portfolio of interactive content that appeals to existing consumers of box office entertainment and draws new consumers to the cinema where they can now enjoy interactive versions of their favourite pastimes (Bingo, Poker, Trivia, etc.). Jonathan Hussman's presentation and video demos impressed the audience and TimePlay appears to be on to something big with Deal or No Deal and CSI games under development for the US audience.
Brainpark's Mark Dowds presented a slightly toned down version of his StartUpCamp presentation to the VC-heavy audience. Side note - Crocs Founder George Bodecker is an investor in Brainpark.
Thanks for the decent report on the Brainpark presentation. I did a very similar presentation at both but chose not to release information at CIX due to the audience. At startup camp I gave it my best to avoid a plain old product demo as I was under the impression that demo's were for democamp and that startup camp was to show who we are, what we are doing and why. We launch in September so no doubt by then many folks will have enjoyed playing with the alpha product behind the scenes...
No worries Mark - I actually attended both and preferred your StartUpCamp presentation. Varun covered it here as well: http://www.techvibes.com/blog/startupcamp-toronto-2/
