CIX Top 20: Darwin Dimensions & Evolver

Posted by Rob Lewis

Three more presentations left in the day for the CIX Top 20 at the Design Exchange in Toronto. Darwin Dimensions' CEO Brian Nilles is up and telling the audience about the evolution of the creation of avatars.

Darwin Dimensions' flagship product is Evolver - the first solution to bring together complex 3D modeling, consumer ease of use, and fully interoperable avatars. Evolver provides a central portal to design, manage and transport digital avatars that can be deployed in virtual worlds, online games, social networks, video clips, greeting cards, mobile apps, as well as professional animation and pre-visualization projects.

Darwin's Evolver addresses a massive, growing market that includes virtual worlds and more importantly virtual currency. Because each Evolver avatar is born with a custom face and body animation rig, it can be transported to nearly any 2D or 3D experience. According to Nilles, traditional Virtual Worlds, Games and other 3D immersive experiences are easily addressed and the real opportunity for Evolver is the growing number of applications which are enhanced by avatars in mobile, social media, enterprise and promotional applications.
